We are pleased to announce Delta’s continued presence on G-Cloud 9 (G9) and that we have been awarded supplier status on G-Cloud 9.
The G-Cloud is a Government-led framework, which is managed by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), and is designed to promote government-wide adoption of cloud computing. The platform also makes procuring secure and reliable cloud technology services easier for public sector organisations by providing a series of framework agreements with pre-approved suppliers through the Digital Marketplace portal.
These frameworks allow public sector organisations to buy the services they need without running a full tender or competitive procurement process, saving both time and money.
The G-Cloud 9 framework is used by organisations across the UK public sector including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not-for-profit organisations.
Delta is included in G-Cloud 9 as a supplier of cloud software and our approved services include:
Based on user feedback, G-Cloud 9 has made improvements which seek to establish a common language between buyers and suppliers, making it easier for public sector organisations to search for companies best suited to their needs, rather than having to trawl through hundreds of suppliers with mismatched offerings
Previously, suppliers found it difficult to describe their services without knowing the exact terminology that buyers were using in their searches; and buyers found it difficult to find what they were looking for. These updates will help buyers find suppliers more easily, and will give suppliers confidence that their services will appear in relevant search results.
The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) brings together policy, advice and direct buying; providing commercial services to the public sector and saving money for the taxpayer.
