The Cabinet Office have officially announced that The Procurement Act 2023 will now go-live on Monday 24 February 2025.
We have been working hard to ensure that our platform is fully compliant with the new Regulations. We have also been supporting our clients to ensure that they are fully prepared and can implement the changes with complete confidence.
As a leading player in the eSender marketplace, Delta eSourcing has maintained regular and positive dialogue with key stakeholders from the very start of Procurement Reform. The feedback from this dialogue informs the development of the Delta eSourcing platform, ensuring that it fully compliant and ready to support the objectives of the Procurement Act. We are in constant contact with the Government teams responsible for implementing the Procurement Act and proactive in providing feedback to them.
We speak regularly with our customers to understand their concerns and challenges relating to the implementation of the Procurement Act and factor this feedback into our development and dialogue with other stakeholders.
We have invested significant development resources into the Delta eSourcing platform to ensure it will not just be compliant with the Procurement Act but also will also continue to offer users the best possible and most seamless experience. Our team includes a dedicated Product Manager, Developers, UI experts, testers and Quality Control. We have planned for these resources to be in place up to and significantly beyond the implementation date.
As the first eSourcing solution in the UK, Delta has seen many changes to legislation over the years and we are therefore highly experienced in facilitating change.
As part of BiP Solutions, Delta eSourcing has access to a range of established and new procurement and supply chain events that foster knowledge sharing and interaction between buyers, suppliers and other stakeholders in the Procurement Act.
Held at the NEC, Birmingham earlier this year, the Procurement Act Expo was a significant event that brought together buyers and suppliers from across the public sector. The event was fully supported by Cabinet Office and other key buyer organisations.
Following the success of the Procurement Act Expo, BiP Solutions is launching Procurement Act Live 2025 – which again will be supported by the Cabinet Office and held at the NEC, Birmingham (27 February 2025). This event offers more opportunities for networking and learning about the Act – and taking place four months after implementation will focus on what has been achieved to date and what developments are still to come. With a focus on how the Act can deliver better outcomes and value – and the development of new skills for buyers – these events are focused on maximising the opportunity that change presents. At the same time, they tackle the challenges that change creates and help buyers get ready with confidence.
The Sessions complement the official Cabinet Office online training with an emphasis on discussion and sharing of planned approaches to working under the new Act. Each Session is facilitated by an expert in the legislation and supported with action plans that can be applied immediately.
