      II.2.4) Description of procurement: Shropshire Council (“the Council”) seeks to award a contract for the design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation & maintenance of a biomass “Pyrolysis Plant” (“the Plant”), including the provision of instrumentation, control and automation of the equipment, civils and electrical works for a biomass pyrolysis facility supplied by the Council at Coder Road, Ludlow , United Kingdom (“the Contract ”).
The Council requires initial servicing and support over the initial two years of the Contract. If the Council exercises its option to extend the Contract, from year 3 until expiry of the Contract, the successful contractor shall provide ongoing operation and maintenance services under a separate Operation and Maintenance Contract.
The Council requires the successful contractor to provide a fully inclusive warranty within the first-year post commissioning to ‘Live’, with a further year with servicing and support. This would include a 24hr response to be on site to remediate any operational issues.
